I arrived at Denny’s at eight am, It was a very crowded. It was the Denny’s located on Limonite and Pat’s Ranch Rd. in the city of Mira Loma. When I arrived on Saturday morning there was a twenty minute wait for a party of four. As I sat waiting I observed the waitresses moving as quickly as they could and bus boys cleaning table after table. We were seated by Angie a young hostess in her early twenties.
ReplyDeleteOur waitresses came right away her name was Christine an older woman, I would say mid forties. She was very chipper, she took our beverage order and was back at our table with our drinks within five minutes. She asked if we were ready to take our order, I asked her what she recommended and she said their sirloin steak and eggs was a popular choice. As she took our order I asked her how long she had been working there, she explained that she had been waitressing for twenty years now, but this location was only two years new. She had been working there since opening day.
She was back with our order about fifteen minutes later, as we waited I watched her wait on a couple of tables. She was polite to everyone she encountered. When she returned with our order
she asked if we needed anything else I asked for ketchup and A1 sauce. She said she would be right back with those items. She returned fairly quickly and, also brought extra napkins. I forgot to ask for tabasco sauce and there was a Mexican bus boy whose name was Raul, I asked him for it in spanish and he brought a bottle right away. The cooks in the kitchen seems extremely busy and grumpy it was easy to see their movements from where we were sitting. They would hit a little bell every time a dish was ready. There waitresses waiting at the window for food, and the cooks seemed a little irritated by that. We were done with our meal, Christine came by once to ask how our meal was, and brought the check as she did that. I thought that was great I usually
have to hunt waitresses down to get the check after I’m done with a meal.
My observations at this Denny’s were that it was a clean environment, the restrooms were clean. The workers didn’t seem unhappy with the exception, of the grumpy cooks. Service was fast. The food was great, and our order was exact.
